Audition & Performance Prep
Ninety minutes, some time before it matters. Not another lesson — a dress rehearsal for the room you are walking into.
An audition is not a concert. You get five minutes, often less, in a room with awkward acoustics and a table of people who have already heard forty singers that day. It is a distinct skill, separate from singing well, and it can be practised. That is what we practise.
I have sung at the Royal Swedish Opera, at Oper Bonn across five seasons, at La Monnaie in Brussels, and at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. None of it came without someone sitting down to listen first. I know how it sounds from the table and I know how it feels from the floor, and that is the difference between rehearsing for an audition and rehearsing an audition. What I can teach you is not to sing better in three weeks — it is to show what you can already do, in the five minutes you are given.
90–100 minutes, 1 700 SEK. Book well before the audition date if you can, so there is room for a second session if something needs reworking. Held in Linköping, in Stockholm, or online.
